Support for the entire staff
In 2004 several key leaders of nationally recognized companies made news headlines. However, this recognition was not due to their organizations’ performance, the launch of an innovative product line, or their documented leadership. It was the result of apparently healthy, key executives unexpectedly dying and the risk this void created for the future well being of their entire company.
With this in mind we asked ourselves, “What can our Company do to better provide for the well being of key executives that maintains the leadership they provide for the future of our Company and ultimately, the continuity of direction for all of our 27,500 associates?”
The result of this discussion led to the beginning of our relationship with PinnacleCare for a key executive program and to provide additional flexibility so our Company could respond to unique needs in the broader employee population. Comprehensive memberships were established for the key executives and episodes of care provided flexibility so we could respond to other individual circumstances.
Today, three simple words best describe what PinnacleCare set up for our Company five years ago. Above and Beyond.
PinnacleCare has provided unparalleled service to our executives and their immediate family members, whether its treatment options related to medical issues, medical preparedness while traveling, access to world class medical facilities and physicians, or guidance on general wellness. Through this program, confidential guidance has been given which led to the discovery and treatment of diseases which otherwise have a low level of survivability, had it not been identified.
Just as impressive is what we have been able to provide to other associates through the episodes of care. Access to facilities and physicians that specialize in brain surgery mapping and treatment of Parkinson’s disease, treatment protocols for aggressive b-cell cancer, consultation related to confusing treatment options, to name a few.
And while some of the outcomes are not always positive, family members have reached out to tell us how grateful and impressed they are that our Company did this for them when they didn’t know what to do or where else to turn to for help. Altogether, this validates what we have done and that we have more than achieved our objective.
